Temporary schedule for Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range begins Sunday
In response to the seasonal transition affecting daylight hours, the Carson City Rifle and Pistol Range will temporarily change its hours for public use — starting Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 hours will be Sundays only, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To ensure adequate and safe accommodations for range enthusiasts, the range must adopt the new operational hours to hinder activity at night.
During the temporary hours of operation, the Rifle and Pistol Range will be monitored by the Carson City Parks Department Range Coordinator, Park Ranger or Volunteer RSO’s. The following schedule and guidelines established:
— Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
— During Sunday operations the Rifle and Pistol Range will be monitored by the Range Coordinator, Park Ranger or Volunteer RSO’s.
— If the Range Coordinator, Park Ranger or Volunteer RSO is not available during the timeframe the range will not be open for use.
— Range will be closed during inclement weather conditions.
— No Reservations accepted during this time period, first come first serve basis only.
The City sincerely regrets any inconveniences caused by the temporary schedule. The City has an obligation to the public to promptly address any potential risks and implement changes to ensure safe practices. The City appreciates the public’s cooperation.
