Carson City deputies make arrests for DUI hit and run, domestic battery and warrants

A 56-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and hit and run after allegedly crashing into a vehicle, flipping off the driver of the vehicle and then driving home, a sheriff's report states.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched at around 8 p.m. to the area of Pinion Pine and Windridge Drive for a report of a hit and run. The officers were advised the reporting party had followed the suspect vehicle after being hit.

Deputies arrived and made contact with the reporting party (RP) who stated he was stopped at a stop sign when a vehicle crashed into his left front side, then reversed and took off on Northridge. The RP stated he attempted to follow the vehicle, and honked to get his attention, but that the driver instead flipped him off, wouldn't stop and attempted to lose him, the report states.

The victim driver stated he followed the vehicle to the 2600 block of Pinion Pine Drive, and stated the vehicle pulled into the garage and exited his vehicle, faced him and then closed the garage door.
