Carson City emergency crews called to rollover crash at Winnie and Foothill Drive
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called to a single vehicle rollover crash Monday afternoon in the area of Winnie Lane and Foothill Drive. One person was briefly trapped inside the vehicle but escaped by the time emergency crews arrived on scene.
The person injured was a 52-year-old male. He was reported by emergency crews on scene to be conscious and breathing with a injury to the head. A medical helicopter was dispatched and the injured man was flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The accident was reported at around 1:30 p.m.
The vehicle was on its roof when emergency crews arrived on scene. Traffic is being diverted around the accident, from Ash Canyon to Winnie. Motorists should stay out of the area. Nevada Highway Patrol has also been called to investigate.
