Van Gogh & Vino to relocate from Minden with new Carson City studio
Van Gogh & Vino, an open art studio where participants of all skills and abilities can sip wine, socialize and paint works of art with friends, family and co-workers, will relocated from Carson Valley to a 2,000 square foot studio in Carson City by Red's Old 395 Grill and the new Tahoe Ridge Winery. Owner Teresa Sexton made the announcement Wednesday on Facebook.
"Van Gogh & Vino is moving to Carson City into a beautiful 2,000 square foot unit just steps away from Red's Old 395 Grill and steps from the new Tahoe Ridge Winery. ... I have lots of plans, including opening up the space to other teachers/classes (yoga, Zumba, water color painting, oil painting, jewelry making etc!). So if you are looking to hold any type of class, (Private Message) me for more information. We should be open there by September 1."
Sexton said the decision to move the studio from Minden to Carson City is in part because 70 percent of her business is from clients coming from the Carson City, Dayton and Reno areas. She said moving closer to where her clients are was a "logical choice" and for the Carson Valley clients, the drive is not that far.
The facility is currently being remodeled into an art studio. It is located in the 1000 block of South Carson Street in the same building as Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
We're all really happy about this," said Sexton.
