Carson City man jailed for felony possession of drugs
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 500 block of N. Carson Street Thursday evening for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and contempt of court.
Robert Hunt-Taylor was arrested after deputies were patrolling the area and recognized Hunt-Taylor from multiple prior contacts, according to the report. They continued driving by, and shortly after dispatch advised Hunt-Taylor had a warrant out for his arrest.
Deputies turned around and located Hunt-Taylor near the valet entrance to a local casino, where he was detained.
During a search of his person, deputies located a box containing hypodermic devices, water, cotton tips with brown residue and a small clear bag. They also located a black zipper container with a clear bag inside, which contained what appeared to be methamphetamine.
He was arrested without incident.

— A 59-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of William Street and Saliman for domestic battery after allegedly putting his arm around his son’s neck during an argument.
Deputies made contact with the man at a local pharmacy who told deputies he had been in an argument with his son but that no physical altercation occurred. He appeared highly intoxicated, according to the report, and did not display any marks to his body.
Deputies then went to speak with the son, who advised they had been in a verbal argument when the man came up while the son was sitting on the couch and put his arm around his neck. The son was able to maneuver the man away from him, at which point the man left the house and went to the pharmacy.
Deputies noted there were marks on the son’s neck consistent with the story.
Bail: $3,137
— An inmate at the Carson City Jail allegedly damaged jail property under $5,000, a gross misdemeanor, while in custody.
According to the report, the 28-year-old man was in a courtroom when he became uncooperative and combative.
When deputies arrived to assist, he was subdued on the ground, and deputies escorted him into the holding area. He was calm and cooperative. Because of his calm behavior, deputies placed him in a visiting booth until booking was finished. As soon as they walked away, the man began screaming and striking the door, damaging the locking mechanism on the visiting booth.
Damage was estimated to be $1,000.

— A 54-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of N. Roop and E. William Street on a report of an intoxicated pedestrian.
Deputies responded to the area after the man was seen walking in and out of the roadway. Multiple concerned citizens had called in, concerned for his safety.
The man was uncooperative and refused to provide basic information. He appeared highly intoxicated. Deputies placed him into custody for being an intoxicated pedestrian, and he was transported to the jail.
He provided a preliminary breath test at the jail which resulted in a .286 percent BAC.

Warrants:
— A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 1700 block of Russell Way on a failure to appear warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court Feb. 13.
Bail: $2,000
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday on a domestic battery warrant issued May 29 from Carson City Justice Court.
The man is currently in custody at the Carson City Jail on other criminal charges. Deputies booked him on the additional charge.
Bail: $3,000
— A 19-year-old Carson City man was brought in on a warrant while in custody at the Douglas County jail, which was a contempt of court warrant out of Carson City Justice Court.
The warrant was issued on Feb. 6.
Bail: $500 cash only
