Carson City’s St. Teresa of Avila volunteers recognized by Diocese of Reno
Each Spring, the Diocese of Reno celebrates its volunteers with its Annual Diocesan Recognition Banquet. For 2015, Bishop Randolph Calvo, second from left, honored 61 volunteers from across the diocese for their untiring work to help their parishes and missions. For Carson City’s St. Teresa of Avila parish, Betty White, third from left, and Irma Crookshanks were recognized for the untold hours they spend at St. Teresa in assisting Father Charles Durante, left. It was noted Betty has been a parishioner of St. Teresa for 82 years. Each honoree receives a special medallion presented by the Bishop. The dinner of April 17 was held at Harrah’s Reno.
