Carson City authorities make several warrant-related arrests

A Carson City man with a warrant for allegedly violating his probation and felony grand theft, faces additional charges of obstructing and resisting arrest.

Steven Charles Michael, 19, was arrested Friday at Musser Street and Carson Meadows after a foot chase with authorities.

According to the arrest report, Michael bolted from the passenger side of a car occupied by five others at about 11 p.m. A Carson City Sheriff's deputy chased Michael eastbound on Goldfield and northbound on Carson Meadow, all the way to Musser where he was caught and detained by another officer, according to the arrest report.

A wants and warrants check was done Michael, where he had a confirmed felony fugitive from justice warrant for parole violation and grand theft from Lassen County Superior Court in California, and a confirmed probation violation warrant from Carson City Justice Court for failing to attend drug counseling. Bail was set at $10,000 for the California warrant and $3,000 for the Carson City warrant.

In other arrests:

— A 19-year-old Carson City man who says he is affiliated with a street gang was arrested on Sunday for possessing a dangerous weapon following a traffic stop in which the vehicle he was in didn't have a rear license plate.
Dallas Nicholson, who calls himself "Pinky" faces a gross misdemeanor charge.

According to the arrest report, Nicholson told officers that he was affiliated with a street gang and that the purple bandana he was wearing was his gang colors.

Officers asked Nicholson if he had any weapons on him, and he said he did, acknowledging he had a knife in his back pocket, according to the arrest report. Officers retrieved the knife and saw that it was a spring-operated double-sided, double-bladed switch blade-style knife, considered a dangerous weapon. Bail was set at $2,500.

— A 53-year-old Carson City man faces a felony warrant charge out of Las Vegas Justice Court for alleged non-sufficient funds/checks, according to the arrest report. Monte Bullock-Reed was arrested Friday in the 3700 block of South Carson Street. The warrant was issued in May 1999. Bail was set at $602.

— A 41-year-old transient was placed into custody on Friday for a felony fugitive warrant out of San Juan County, Utah. Jerry Billsie had apparently skipped his court appearances in Utah where he faced a felony charge of driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, according to the arrest report. He is being held without bail.

— A 19-year-old Carson City man was brought to the Carson City Jail from Lyon County on Sunday on an outstanding felony arrest warrant for alleged stalking. Kenneth Rees, was booked at around 4:30 p.m at Carson City Jail. Bail was set at $10,000 bondable.

— A Carson City man was arrested on a felony charge of violating parole and probation. Officers served the warrant to Robert Jacobsen, 55, on Friday at his Woodside Drive apartment, according to the arrest report. The arrest warrant was for a 2010 petit larceny charge.

— A 40-year-old Moundhouse man was arrested Friday on a felony parole and probation violation charge. Jose Antonio Adrian was found inside a Carson City casino gambling, a violation of his probation, according to the arrest report. His bail information was placed on administrative hold.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Office and the Office of Small Business Advocacy have announced a community forum focused on building a strong and vibrant community and engaging Carson City’s small business owners.
