Carson Street Green Dining Banner flies to support Carson City restaurants
GreenUP!, an environmental education non-profit working with local businesses, asks the community to support sustainable dining by bringing their appetites to Carson City Green Dining Restaurants while the banner flies now through Sunday, March 31.
Carson City restaurants that are part of the Green Dining Program include Arby’s, Cucina Lupo, Girabaldi’s Italian Kitchen, Great Basin Brewing Company, Juan’s Mexican Grill & Cantina, Scoups Ice Cream and Soup Bar, Squeeze In, and So Juicy.
When the Green Dining District banner is flying in the heart of the Green Dining District, between W. Spear and Telegraph streets, community members know that a green dining district campaign is in session. greenUP! is currently offering a $10 discount on its Green Box to Go NV Program.
When customers download the App from Google Play or Apple Store and enter the discount code: “EARTHMONTH,” they receive $10 off on the one-time cost of $20 for 2 containers or $40 for 4 boxes (family pack) which grants customers the ability to check out one to four boxes at a time, with unlimited returns and check-outs. Each one of the reusable takeout containers can be recirculated hundreds of times, potentially preventing thousands of single use containers from entering landfills.
Visit the greenUP! website or download the APP at your favorite restaurant.
Donna Walden, President of greenUP! said, “greenUP! developed the green dining program to give a long-due option to environmentally conscious people who wish to see community-level, tangible commitments to waste reduction. Our Carson Street banner program is about supporting restaurants that are taking steps to make our community healthier and cleaner.”
