Carson City's Catmandu introduces their Cat of the Week: Cheddar
Are you looking for a friend in the New Year? Please come to Catmandu to meet our
friendly Cheddar.
Let’s hear his story in Cheddar’s own words.
“They call me Cheddar, likely because I’m a short-haired tabby the color of fine sharp cheese. No one except me knows my original name. You see, I was dumped in a rural park almost 3 years ago. I don’t know why, I was just a kitten at the time. In case you’re bad at math, that makes me about 3 ½ years old. It’s a miracle I survived there for so long. Lucky for me there was a very nice lady who
brought food and helped me learn to trust humans. She’s the same person that got me neutered but I have forgiven her for it.”
Despite living outside for most of his life, Cheddar is very comfortable being an indoor cat and has very good house and litter box manners. He is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He loves affection and will knead biscuits if you talk to him, pet him, and “squish” his tummy.
Cheddar is an easy-going guy that can live with other nice cats and cat-friendly dogs. He does not do well with small children, but is fine with older kids and adults. He comes neutered and up-to-date on his shots.
Cheddar would love to start 2024 in a new and loving home. If you are looking for a forever friend, you will find it in him. Please come by Catmandu this weekend to meet Cheddar and all the kitties of Catmandu.
Catmandu is located at 1829 Brown Street. Our regular hours are Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This Sunday, New Years Eve, we will close at 4 p.m.
Currently Catmandu has approximately 80 cats. Some are sanctuary cats who are
unadoptable while others are friendly cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption. If you can’t adopt, please consider helping by volunteering or making a much-needed donation. For more information, visit our website at https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City's orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow.
