Cap City Baseball anticipates starting the 2020 season in July
What's up Cap City! We hope everyone is being safe, staying ready and getting their school work done in these uncertain times. First, all of us at non-profit Carson Youth Programs, Inc., Cap City Baseball cannot thank the players, parents, coaches, and sponsors enough for a successful inaugural season for the 11u and 12u teams in 2019. Nothing would have been possible without those four essential elements.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department for all of their continued work on the tremendous facilities that we are fortunate enough to utilize.
Secondly, and provided that we are able, Cap City will be starting the 2020 season in July. For returning players for the 11u and 12u teams, the coaches will be sending an email out in about 2 to 3 weeks.
Based on the interest that we have received over the off-season, we are undertaking efforts to incorporate 9u and 10u teams as well. For players who are interested but did not play last season, we will be holding workouts as soon as we are able.
For the 2020 Fall Season, each team will have two practices a week, and approximately four tournaments. The tournament schedule will be finalized in June. Please stay tuned to forthcoming information online at https://capcitynv.com
Please also follow our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
The fee structure will be broken down into program fees and tournament fees. The program fees will be $300 per player, which will include 2 hats, 2 jerseys, and a practice shirt and will cover the player’s facility fees for the season, which is anticipated to run from Mid-July through October, provided circumstances allow. The tournament fees will be collected prior to the tournaments.

We will be compiling some workout information to assist with the player development during this unique time to provide a platform to safely continue to improve themselves. The workouts will consist of agility and cardio training, bodyweight strength exercises, and baseball drills that will be posted online on a weekly basis until the season starts. If time and circumstances allow, we will be holding position-specific clinics periodically.
Carson Youth Programs, Inc., as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and community-based organization, encourages players of all ages and means to participate, so if the program fees are prohibitive and a family cannot afford the program or tournament fees, we will review the circumstances to determine if those fees may be reduced or waived on an as-needed basis through our scholarship program. Stay safe, stay ready, and we look forward to another successful season at Cap City Baseball.
