Navy League dinner and meeting Wednesday, Feb. 21
The Carson City Council of the United States Navy League will hold its first meeting of the New Year on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the Gold Dust West Hotel and Casino in Carson City.
The social hour starts at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
Our speaker will be Lt. Col. Adrian Armold, USMC, Executive Officer, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Pickle Meadows, CA.
Lt. Col. Armold is a 20-year veteran of the Marine Corps with assignments to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.
He also was part of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit which came to the aid of the USS Cole after its bombing in the Port of Aden, Yemen.
He is a Communications specialist and has a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Dinner choices: Chicken Parmesan or Roasted Pork Loin dinners. Please choose one at time of reservation. Reservations need to be in by Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The Navy League of the United States was founded in 1902 by President Theodore Roosevelt and is a civilian organization with more than 50,000 members dedicated to educating American citizens and elected officials about the importance of sea power to U.S. national security.
We also support the men and women of the sea services and their families. The Carson City Council sponsors and supports Navy and Marine personnel at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center near Bridgeport, CA and NAS Fallon, NV as well as the Carson High School Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Command and Navy Regional Recruiting Command.
