It is estimated that approximately $450,000 will be available in total.
Nevada acquires land in the Tahoe Basin to protect native wildlife habitat, reduce wildfire risks

This new conservation area was funded by Tahoe Regional Planning Agency mitigation funds.
Air quality degrades Monday morning as Oak Fire smoke pushes into western Nevada, Sierra

As of around 6:25 a.m. the Air Quality Index for Stateline at Lake Tahoe, Reno, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and Dayton areas is "unhealthy for sensitive groups," according to the latest airnow.gov reading.
