A 41-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday on felony charges, battery with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Christoper Matthew Couch is being held on $35,000 bail. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the 3800 block of South Carson Street regarding two people arguing. Dispatch advised they were getting several 911 calls and one of the reporting witnesses said one of the men hit the other.

A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday and faces a felony charge of intimidating a witness.
Rebecca Taylor was booked into Carson City Jail at 2:20 p.m. and is being held on $15,000 bail.

According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to 400 Saliman Road. Carson City dispatch informed deputies that Taylor had bail conditions not to meet with a man and that she had been at his residence.

Carson City man jailed on felony warrant for being a sex offender failing to change address

A Carson City man turned himself into authorities Wednesday for an outstanding felony warrant, being a sex offender failing to change his address, issued out of Churchill County.

David Alan Wilson II, 30, turned himself into the front counter of the Carson City Sheriff's Office at 12:35 p.m. on the warrant service confirmed out of New River Township Justice Court as a sex offender failing to change address. Bail is $25,000 bondable. He was taken into custody without incident.

A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday and faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after allegedly being in a physical altercation with her mother.

According to the arrest report, Carson City sheriff's patrol officers were dispatched at 10:15 p.m. Aug. 13 to the 1900 block of Carson Street for a domestic battery call. Officers arrived and spoke with the mother who told officers she feared her daughter was using meth and went out looking for her. The victim told officers she found her daughter near a casino.

Carson City authorities arrest two in connection with car theft

Carson City authorities arrested a 20-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man on Tuesday who were involved in a car theft from the parking lot of Burger King on Monday.

Kayla M. Robbins was jailed after surveillance video obtained showed her taking a Honda Civic on Monday at 7:53 p.m. from the restaurant at 3589 North Carson Street. The vehicle belonged to the restaurant manager.

Robbins allegedly walked past the unattended, unlocked car parked outside the main doors, got inside and sped away, according to the arrest report.

A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday and faces a felony charge of unlawful use of a credit card.
Jack Michael Bell is being held on $7,500 bond in the Carson City Jail. According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Fairview Drive in reference to a fraud report.

The victim advised she discovered that her Chase Bank debit card was missing two days ago and she said she suspected her roommate and boyfriend, Jack Michael Bell, took her debit card, the arrest report states.

A 25-year-old Carson City man faces felony drug charges after a vehicle search netted, among other things, methamphetamine that was stashed inside a toy action figure.

Officers arrested Jesse Silis-Teran at 5:35 p.m. Thursday near Humboldt and Long streets. According to the arrest report, officers patrolling the area heard a group of people yelling at each other and met with three individuals at a parked car.

NHP to launch Zero-Tolerance Enforcement Week; aims stop drivers using cell phones

April is National Distracted Driving Month and the Nevada Highway Patrol will be implementing a zero-tolerance enforcement period next week, April 22-26, as a strict traffic safety initiative to hopefully curtail the use of hand-held phones while motorists are driving. Troopers around the Silver State are still continuing to observe motorists texting, talking, and reading non-voice communications despite the fact this behavior became illegal over 15 months ago.

Carson City sheriff's deputies make drug and burglary-related arrests

Drug crimes, burglary, child neglect and a third DUI offense made up the bulk of this weekend's felony-related arrests, Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies report.

Two men were arrested Sunday and face felony charges after attempting to steal air compressors from a vacant Carson City building. Arrested were Geoffrey Earl Meudt, 39, of Gardnerville and Steven Walter Cozad, 30, of Wellington, Nev. Both are being held and face charges of being in possession of burglary tools and gross misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit theft.

Carson City deputies make arrests in robbery, stabbing cases

Two Carson City men were arrested and face felony robbery charges. Orion Tova, 42, and Kyle Carpenter, 25, were arrested as a result of a confrontation that was said to be about the victim having stolen money from the suspect's mother who said he was trying to get it back.
