UPDATE 12:37AM: Nearby residents report the fire at Arbor Villa apartments appears to have been knocked down. A Carson City Fire Department battalion chief reports NV Energy and a fire investigator have arrived on scene. UPDATE 12:07AM: Firefighters are making progress on the fire, according to a battalion chief on scene. NV Energy has been called for arcing power lines that are considered hazardous. No injuries have been reported.

Carson City Fire Department will be conducting a live fire training exercise at a vacant structure located on the Carson City Public Works Corporate Yard, June 17 and June 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

Residents evacuated from structure fire at Pheasant Drive and Mockingbird Way

UPDATE: 12:20 a.m. Sunday. The fire appears to be out. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

UPDATE 11:00 p.m.: Central Lyon County fire has also arrived to offer assistance to the Carson City Fire Department. Red Cross has been advised due to the displacement of residents.

A fire broke out just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday night near the 3900 block of Pheasant Drive and Mockingbird Way.

According to dispatch, the fire is a structure fire involving a 4-plex. There is heavy smoke in the area, and it is unclear at this point how many units are affected.

Fire damages mobile home Friday night in East Carson City

Friday at 11:37 p.m. the Carson City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 7200 block of U.S. Highway 50 East.

When firefighters arrived, they were faced with a double wide residential trailer that was fully engulfed with flames. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

Carson City firefighters save dog in second floor fire at St. Charles

UPDATE 4:50PM: Jim Phalan, owner of The Fox Brewpub, said they are now back open for business. He said the sprinklers from the second story flooded the brewery and parts of the walk-in refrigeration, and they had to throw away a lot of food. They also lost most of their lunch business for the day.

"I am sure there is ceiling damages, I just do not know how much at this point," Phalan said. "But we didn't lose any beer."

He also thanked the first responders for saving the dog and the hotel. "Who knows how much worse it could have been," he said.
