A long hike with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and the mountains beyond, this will be a one-way, 13-plus mile hike along the Marlette Flume Trail from Spooner Lake to Tunnel Creek Road in Incline Village.

This is a busy, popular trail at a high elevation, with spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and a beautiful waterfall at our endpoint. This will be a 5-mile hike round-trip with a little over 500' gain through the hike.
This single track trail begins near the parking lot at the top of Mt. Rose Highway. Most of the trail is dirt but some areas are a bit rocky. This event will be about 4-5 hours which includes transportation time from Carson City, plus hike and snack time.
Body of victim in apparent drowning recovered Monday at Lake Tahoe
Submitted by editor on Tue, 09/18/2018 - 9:10amThe Douglas County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit 7 recovered a body from a depth of 1,062 feet in Lake Tahoe on Monday. The recovery was made while searching for a missing person, who reportedly drowned the week prior. The identity of the person has been withheld until the family has been notified.

However, forgiveness is not for the person or situation being forgiven. It’s for you. And, sometimes, the person or situation isn’t the only thing that needs to be forgiven. Carson Valley sets eyes on Main Street Gardnerville Fall Fest

This year Main Street Gardnerville has combined all these events into one big festival called Main Street Fall Fest, with more music, activities, demonstrations and vendors at Heritage Park on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
