St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School will be holding its 16th Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser on Saturday, March 2, 2019, beginning at 5 p.m. at The M.A.C., 1860 Russell Way, Carson City.

Catering provided by Liberty Events & Catering. There will be dinner, dancing, raffle prizes, silent and live auctions. Tickets available now and are $75 per person and can be purchased online or at the school's front office. The school is located at 567 S. Richmond Street, Carson City.

Forecasters urge motorists not to travel into the Sierra today as several feet of heavy snow will impact roadways and travel.

The Capital City Arts Initiative announces its exhibition, "Photo Finished," at the Community Development Building (the Brick), 108 E. Proctor Street, Carson City. Eleven artists from Carson High School have work in the exhibit.

CCAI will host a reception for the artists on Thursday, Jan. 24, 5 to 6:30 p.m. (no longer January 17). The free exhibition is available to the public from January 14 to March 31, 2019, Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.

The artists are all students in Photography Instructor Kara Ferrin’s Advanced Photo class.

The Carson City Host Lions Club 20th Annual Crab Feed is happening on March 1, 2019 at the Fuji Park Pavilion. The donation is $55 per ticket and gets you into the "all you can eat" crab extravaganza. Raffles, auctions, music and dancing will also be part of the festivities. Youth Theatre Carson City to hold auditions this Saturday for Disney’s 'The Jungle Book, Jr.'

Youth Theatre Carson City has announced it is opening auditions for Disney’s "The Jungle Book, Jr." The show will run four performances, March 29-31, 2019 as part of its Springtime Double Feature in the newly renovated Bob Boldrick Theatre at the Carson City Community Center. The theatre group is looking for actors, singers, and dancers grades K-9, who will be cast to play a host of colorful Disney characters.
