Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) has announced its COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Program, which provides one-time funding to rural Nevada residents experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program provides financial assistance to qualifying individuals who are falling behind on their rent, mortgage or utilities.

Carson City's Richards Crossing residents receive gift giveaway from Red Hat Society

The Red Hat Society delivered warm bedding and clothing to each of the residents at Richards Crossing in Carson City last week. A local chapter of the Red Hat Society named the “Classy Sassy Bear Ladies” organized a Christmas gift giveaway for the residents. The giveaway, for which planning started over the summer, collected homemade and donated blankets, scarves and socks.
