Minden business one of seven to receive business incentives from Gov. Sisolak, Economic Board

Steve Sisolak and the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) board approved performance-based initiatives for seven businesses to relocate in Nevada or expand their operations, which could create 270 new jobs.
The companies’ applications approved for initiatives represent a wide range of businesses across the state including a robotic company in Reno, a technology company in Las Vegas, and an industrial supplier of organic botanicals, spices, chili and teas in Minden.

The Nevada Art Council commissioned the mural for the club, which was finished in a week along with a smaller mural on the windows of the teen center.

Mile High Jazz Band presents 'Hang Ups: Big Band Jazz and Poetry' Tuesday in Carson City

Each poem will be followed by a related big-band tune. The event will be at Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson Street, across the street from the state legislature building in Carson City. It runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Admission is $5 at the door and free for age 18 and under.
