One student's dream becomes reality for those returning to Carson City's Pioneer High School
Students returned to the Pioneer High School campus Tuesday and found the new CZJ Recording Studio, which was installed over the summer.
The entire project was the dream of PHS student, Zaca U. He shared his idea for Pioneer to have a sound recording studio for students to exercise their creative musical talents.
The project will allow students and classes to check out time in the recording station to enhance school presentations, create blogs, develop original music, school announcements, and time to just be creative.
Zaca pitched the idea to his math teacher lasts year.
Since then Mr. Corbitt submitted and obtained one of CCSD's mini grants and Mr. Jordan, the school counselor, set up the studio over the summer in his media/journalism classroom.
This is a great example of students and staff making a difference. They took the initiative and ownership to upgrade the physical campus and add more creative options for students.
