Missing dogs that prompted helicopter search found safe

Two dogs that went missing a week ago were found safe, according to their owners. The shaggy white Spinoni Italiano dogs were found Friday.

On Wednesday the owners chartered a helicopter in their effort to find the dogs Mara and Adele who went missing after chasing rabbits in east Carson City.

Reno Aces, Nevada Wolf Pack set exhibition game for April 5

The Reno Aces and the University of Nevada Wolf Pack baseball team will play their annual exhibition game on Tuesday, April 5 at 6:05 p.m. at Aces Ballpark, the organizations announced today.

“As is the case every year since I have managed the Aces, I am really excited about our exhibition game against the Wolf Pack,” said Aces third-year manager Phil Nevin. “It's great for our players to prep for the season and it means Opening Day is near.”

Carson City family charters helicopter to search for missing dogs

A Carson City family chartered a private helicopter Wednesday to search for two shaggy white dogs missing since Friday night. The owners of the Spinoni Italiano dogs are Stacey and Lorne Belt. The dogs, Mara and Adele, escaped while the couple were walking.

UPDATE 11:15AM: Carson City is experiencing minor, localized flooding, according to the city's Facebook page. Sandbags are available at Public Works Corporate Yard on Butti Way. Call 887-2355 if you need more information. As of 11:15 there were 14 NV Energy outages in Carson City with 253 customers without power. Douglas County has 16 outages with 165 customers without power. There is one outage in Lyon County with one customer without power.

Trash Mob to Clean Up Greenbelt Park
