Events include the 100th annual Candy Dance in Genoa, the Carson City Community Center Garage Sale, free walks at Nevada State Parks, Virginia City’s Street Vibrations Fall Rally, the 31st annual All-Breed Dog Shows, The Beatles Flashback tribute band concert and much more!

This weekend come check out Leslie Townsend, star of Casino Boss, at The Carson Comedy Club! Leslie has appeared on A&E's An Evening at the Improv and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno! It’s going to get hot again today with a high of 93, but don’t worry, as we get out further into the week the weather will turn more autumnal with highs in the 70s. It could be the last hot day for a while, at least until a freak 90s+ hot day in November followed by a week long blizzard, so enjoy it while it’s here!

Heading into the weekend, there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days, including HopeFest9 on Friday, dirt bike races at Fuji Park, a job fair at Eagle Valley Children's Home, and the final weekend of the Jazz and Beyond festival and Levitt AMP outdoor concert series at the Brewery Arts Center.

Laugh out loud as comedy favorite Bob Zany presents "Carson City Tonight Where You Are The Star!" at the end of this month, August 30-31, at the Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget.

Bob is a stand up comedian well known for appearing in films such as "Joe Dirt" and "The Informant." Bob was also on the "Friends of the Bob and Tom Show" on Comedy Central.

Tickets are only $15 and doors open at 7:15 p.m. The Carson Nugget is located at 507 North Carson Street, Carson City.

This Friday and Saturday night will feature the hilarious comedy stylings of veteran performer Rodney Norman at the Carson Comedy Club at the Carson Nugget.

Rodney was the winner of the Rhode Island Comedy Festival and was also featured in the Boston Comedy Festival. Rodney is a former Marine with a BS degree in Philosophy. He’s been in the comedy business for 20 years and we are happy to have him on our stage.
