Karaoke has returned to the Firkin and Fox for those who don’t have a pigskin addiction. Poet Glade A. Myler will be at the Browser’s Corner Book Store for a meet and greet and book signing. Shake off the Monday blues with the High Sierra Swing Dance Club; their night out at El Charro Avita kicks off at 6pm.

It’s balloon race weekend so to encourage those folks looking for earlier entertainment that day, they would have an option.

New Stage in Silver City Adds to Comstock’s Live Music and Theater Venues

The festival style public event was held to celebrate the much anticipated addition of a new outdoor stage to the region's arts and music scene.

Take the kids to the Nevada State State Train Museum for Lucky Diamond and the Gents of Jive or to the McFadden Plaza for an outdoor concert with Musicole. Leave the kids with a sitter if you’re going to head to Living the Good Life for some outdoor fun with CV-41 or inside the Westside Pour House with reggae group Whiskey Lung. A to Zen has a store-wide scavenger hunt to accompany their weekly open Mic.

Crossroads Lounge is hosting their last Wednesday night karaoke this week; a new night and time will be announced soon. Carson Hot Springs invites all Veterans and Military members to come swim for free today.

Kenny Neal and the Family Band headline the show from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Genoa Station State Historic Park. Grady Champion, an International Blues Challenge champion, also will perform, along with Reno’s Buddy Emmer Blues Band.

Head downtown for some yummy goodness; today’s Farmers Market runs from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Living the Good Life welcomes Rocky and Judith to the stage.
