Bleu Cafe in Carson City to reopen Monday, July 6

Bleu Cafe is proud to announce that we are reopening our restaurant for lunch! Starting on Monday, July 6 at 11 a.m. we will open our doors for lunch. Our standard menu will be available to you.

2019 Carson City’s Empty Bowls event was a success! This event would have never been possible without our local restaurants’ donations of several gallons of soup. Carson City's Bleu Cafe reopens restaurant, bar for lunch following public outcry

Carson City's Bleu Cafe closed their restaurant doors in November to focus on catering and parties, but after months of public outcry from Bleu Cafe enthusiasts, Chef Roberta Davies has opened the restaurant and bar for lunch, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The restaurant is popular for their menu that touts cooking "the old fashioned way," with every item made from scratch using real ingredients. When it closed, the public let Davies know just how upset they were.

STATELINE — Mont Bleu, a resort that has gone by three names and had five owners in 41 years, is playing a central role in the future of the South Lake Tahoe gaming market.

A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday afternoon for suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and possession of a drug without a prescription, a sheriff's deputy report said.

Traditional German fare will be served as a 5 course meal including duck and hasenpfeffer. Tickets are $75 each, include tax and gratuity and must be purchased in advance at Bleu Café. Okay. This is one of the hardest weekend lists I’ve ever had to do. This dump of snow has cancelled some events, but others are in full force. Best I can tell, St. Patrick’s Day parties are not deterred by a little snowfall. There will be no parade in Virginia City, but the Rocky Mountain Oyster Fest is on. Head to downtown Carson for more green beer, Irish music, and corned beef and cabbage than you’ll know what to do with.

State troopers, public safety employees to participate in 2018 Polar Plunge Sunday

Troopers from the Nevada Highway Patrol, as well as other employees for the Nevada Department of Public Safety will be participating in the South Lake Tahoe “Polar Plunge” on Sunday, March 18.
