In honor of Father's Day 2020, Episode 5 of Carson City Symphony’s Project Euterpe presents music by Franz Joseph Haydn, known as “Papa Haydn, the father of the symphony and father of the string quartet."

BAC's Flatbed Concert Series continues Saturday in a new Carson City neighborhood

The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week.

Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, the BAC will place musicians and bands on the flatbed and drive them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City throughout June and July.

Carson City Symphony announces Project Euterpe episode 4 with songwriter Tom Miller

In Episode 4 of Carson City Symphony’s Project Euterpe, Conductor David Bugli interviews entertainer Tom Miller. Tom is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, flutist, saxophonist, and luthier (maker of string instruments), among other things. He was featured soloist on the Symphony 35th annual Pops Party Concert at Nevada's Capital Amphitheater last year.

The Jazz and Beyond festival committee announces that the winner of the 2020 poster and program cover art contest is Karen Kreyeski, for her entry, “After Midnight Jam.” The winner of the T-shirt design is Evan Tynan, for “2020 Jazz & Beyond Festival Logo.” These were selected from ten entries to highlight the 17th annual Carson City music and art festival.

Carson City Symphony releases Project Euterpe Episode 3 with Russian String Quartet

In Episode 3 of Carson City Symphony’s Project Euterpe, Conductor David Bugli introduces the Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet from St. Petersburg, Russia, playing "Nocturne" from Alexander Borodin's String Quartet No. 2.

This recital was performed in a Carson City home on March 15, 2019, and features Mikhail Bondarev and Ekaterina Belisova, violin; Alexi Popov, viola; and Anton Andreev, cello.

The Nevada Artists Association Gallery will be closed during the COVID-19 outbreak. Unfortunately, the outbreak occurred during our winter show and artists who would normally have had visitors coming into the gallery to look at their work was a concern of the NAA Board.
