BAC's Flatbed Concert Series continues Saturday in a new Carson City neighborhood
The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week.
Miles Construction Company has generously donated the use of a Flatbed Truck and with financial support from The Change Companies, the Nauman Foundation, and Carson Tahoe Hospital, the BAC will place musicians and bands on the flatbed and drive them through the streets and neighborhoods of Carson City throughout June and July.
This Saturday, June 20, the BAC is proud to present The Whitehats. The Whitehats bring saucy, live entertainment with award winning originals, and covers from a broad spectrum of contemporary pop, rock, country and soul.
The flatbed stage will be leisurely driving throughout the neighborhoods by Seeliger Elementary School and Sonoma Park all the way to Mayor’s Park from 6 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, June 20. The BAC invites you to bring your bike, skates or skateboard and ride along. The BAC also encourages social distancing and wearing masks when they stop by the larger, open spaces to perform a few songs.
BAC board president Ken Farley says “Our volunteers and team at the Brewery Arts Center have been just as disappointed as our community about not being able to produce the Levitt AMP Carson City concert series as planned this year. However, with the Flatbed Concert series, thanks to our wonderful team and sponsors, we hope to bring a little bit of normalcy back. Last weekend’s response was extraordinary and an escape for everyone involved. We are looking forward to bringing live music to all of Carson City in the coming weeks.”
