UPDATE 1:35AM: The standoff at the Pheasant Drive home ended tonight at around 1:30 a.m. when a flash bang charge was placed on the door; the device exploded and the suspect came out of the home with his hands up, according to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

NV Energy reports a power outage Friday afternoon affecting customers west of South Carson Street.
As of about 1:50 p.m. there were 115 customers without power. See the map above. Calls to 911 dispatch were reports of people hearing an explosion in the area of Thompson Street, with lights flickering and then going out.
