Carson City Fire Department hosts library storytime
The Carson City Fire Department hosted the Carson City Library Family Storytime Thursday at the main station located at 777 South Stewart Street, featuring a book reading accompanied by interactive activities.
Family Storytime is a pre-kindergarten reading program normally held at the Carson City Library.
However, the weekly calendar event is currently being conducted at venues throughout the community while the library undergoes a refresh that includes fresh paint, refinished floors, and moved collections, the Carson City Library web site said.
The library closed Dec. 10 for the refresh work, which could take up to eight weeks to complete, the library web site said.
Family Storytime takes place next at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive, on Thursday Jan. 4 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
