Nevada Author Lisa Selmi Reads Her Children's Book July 20

Storytime begins at 10am. The library is located within the Silver City Schoolhouse (community center) at 385 High Street, Silver City, Nevada 89428.
Selmi’s fun and educational new children’s book Oscar's Big Adventure is an endearing story of an aging dog who reminds us that we are never too old to seek new friendships and adventures.

In honor of Earth Day, we’ll be reading about the how the land around us is affected by humans, animals and weather, and getting familiar with GLOBE Observer’s Land Cover community science project. We'll also do a fun recycling craft! If you'd like to follow along at home, you'll just need four jars, a marker, paper and/or the template listed below under Attachments.

Capital City Reads: My First Summer in the Sierra

Capital City Reads takes place every April as a celebration of National Library Week, bringing people together through reading and discussion.
This year’s program starts with National Library Week on April 19 and will run through May 16.
