Carson City deputies make arrests for DUI, obstructing and felony warrants

A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday in the area of Highway 50 and Fairview on multiple charges including failing to register as a sex offender, a felony and misdemeanor DUI.

According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a white GMC pickup in front of him traveling from the inside lane to the outside lane in an erratic motion. The vehicle entered the outside left turn lane to go southbound on Fairview and stopped for the red signal.

When the signal turned green, the vehicle remained stationary for an unusually long period of time. When the vehicle did turn, it completed its turn in the inside lane and the changed back to the outside lane, the arrest report states. A deputy conducted a traffic stop and observed signs the man was intoxicated.

The suspect agreed to field sobriety tests and showed impairment. He blew a preliminary breath test of .161, the arrest report states. He was arrested for DUI. He refused to submit for evidentiary testing. A warrant was granted by a judge for a blood draw.
