NV Energy reports power outage on west side of Carson City

A power outage along Carson City's west side in the area of King Street is affecting more than 200 customers on Monday night, according to NV Energy.

The outage was reported at 8:19 p.m., affecting 219 customers on West King Street, 5 customers on West Telegraph Street and 5 customers on South Iris Street. NV Energy says the estimated time for restoration is around 10:15 p.m. for King Street and 9:45 p.m. For customers on West Telegraph and Iris streets.

In Douglas County, there's an outage on Clapham Lane in the Johnson Lane area affecting 66 customers. The outage was reported at 6:16 p.m. Estimated time of restoration, 10:30 p.m.

The cause of the outages are unknown at this time.

UPDATE 6:12PM: A 60-acre fire is actively burning on the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s Carson Ranger District, near the Whites Creek Trailhead, south west of Reno. Eight structures in the Logan Meadows area may be threatened. Traffic is closed to Timberline Drive, except for local residents. There is no access to the Thomas Creek and Whites Creek Trailheads.
