Santa Claus parades through downtown Carson City Saturday
A crowd full of Christmas spirit followed behind Santa Claus, seated in a horse-drawn carriage, late Saturday morning in downtown Carson City.
The annual Olde Town Christmas Parade led participants down a two-block route from Curry Street at Telegraph Square to Musser Street. The procession then turned north from Musser onto Carson Street before heading west on Telegraph Street and arriving back at Telegraph Square.
Following the parade, Santa Claus greeted children with candy canes from the porch of Rocking and Rolling, 402 N. Curry Street.
The event, sponsored by the Downtown 2020 Group, featured vendors and a food truck at telegraph square, face painting and live music.
