Duncan Golf Management to take over Carson City's Eagle Valley Golf Course on Monday
Carson City-owned Eagle Valley Golf will be operated by Duncan Golf Management ahead of schedule beginning Monday according to Parks and Recreation officials.
Carson City recently went through an extensive process to seek qualified golf operators for Eagle Valley Golf Course. At its Dec. 8 meeting, the Carson City Board of Supervisors unanimously picked Duncan Golf Management as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to operate, maintain and manage the course.
While the original intent was for DGM to assume management in early 2018, Carson City announced Friday that Duncan Golf Management will begin operating Eagle Valley Golf Course on Monday, Dec. 11, weeks ahead of schedule.
“We are truly excited about this public – private partnership and what it will mean for the future of golf in Carson City. Eagle Valley Golf Course provides valuable recreation opportunities for the community and this partnership will enable that to continue,” said Carson City Manager Nick Marano in a news release.
Eagle Valley Golf Course is host to two diverse 18-hole courses. Eagle Valley East offers a user friendly design for a variety of participants of all ages and abilities. Eagle Valley West provides undulating topography in a desert links-style course that is challenging to even experienced golfers.
Eagle Valley Golf Course is located at 3999 Centennial Park Drive north of Highway 50 in Carson City. Golf Course hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 days a week beginning Dec. 11.
