Charter Communications store in Carson City relocates to North Carson Street facility
Charter Communications will open its newly relocated retail store in Carson City. The existing Charter store, located at 284 E. Winnie Lane, will close at 2 p.m. Saturday and will reopen Monday at a new, larger facility, at 3745 N. Carson Street.
"Beyond a new, larger location, the new store allows for hands-on demonstrations of Charter’s products, said Kim Haas, regional communications director for Charter. "Customers can sign up for new services, learn about new advancements in technology, ask questions, pay their bill or pickup and drop off equipment."
The new store was designed with the customer in mind, said Pattie Eliason, vice president of Charter stores and retail partners.
“People that come in will not wait in a traditional line. Rather, customers can browse and interact with an assortment of products," Eliason said. "Our representatives will show customers the latest advances in technology, help them become familiar with using it, and put together just the right package of Charter services for their home and family."
For instance, if customers have questions about how to access Charter’s free On Demand programming or download the free Charter TV app to their mobile devices, Charter representatives take time and show them how. “Our staff really enjoys the opportunity to talk with customers and we believe the larger location and interactive displays will enhance our customers’ visits,” said Cheryl Chernisky, local store manager in Nevada.
Chernisky says the store is the first of its kind for Charter customers in Nevada, building off of a store model that has proven successful in other Charter markets.
“The new location is easier to find and our expanded hours offer more convenience,” she said. The new store will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 .m.
