Tahoe Environmental Research Center seeks donations to continue mission of protecting Lake Tahoe through research, education
This has been another unprecedented year full of challenges and creative responses. As the world navigates the ever changing precautions and limitations brought on by the pandemic, the Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) continues to innovate to sustain our education and outreach activities that help maintain the long-term health of Lake Tahoe.
In 2021, the Tahoe Science Center evolved and reopened by reservation, taught school lessons via Zoom, created a new microplastic and plastic pollution exhibit, hosted online lectures, and led in-person outdoor programming.
Our team encourages students, residents, and visitors to appreciate the many facets of Lake Tahoe and show them how we can all protect it with knowledge and use of science and research. Visitors of all ages get excited about their experiences at the science center and kids imagine science careers as a future possibility.
TERC seeks to inspire curiosity about our lake and the watershed around it. When people become engaged and active in the science of Lake Tahoe, everyone wins! We hope you take the next step in making the lake better by supporting our Center with a gift in any amount.
