Workshop with downtown Carson City street redesign contractors tonight at BAC
Carson City Public Works Department, in conjunction with Q&D construction and Lumos and Associates will host a Downtown Carson City question and answer session tonight, Thursday, as part of the Carson Street redesign project. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center.
Members of the community are encouraged to use this opportunity to ask questions about construction on the Downtown Corridor. Officials from Carson City Public Works, Q&D Construction and Lumos and Associates will be on hand at the mixer to provide information and answer questions. The informal affair will include beverages and appetizers to those in attendance. The Brewery Arts Center is located at 448 King Street.
The Carson Street Design project is one of the capital improvement projects approved by the city and is estimated to cost approximately $10-11 million and funded from a 1/8th cent sales tax and Public Works funding. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2016.
