Candlelight vigil Sunday in Carson City for high school students injured in vehicle accident
UPDATE From Carson City Sheriff's Office: For the candlelight ceremony, Carson Street between 5th Street and Musser and Curry Street, between 2nd Street and 4th Street will be closed beginning 6 p.m. until vigil ends.

There will be a candlelight gathering on Sunday, 6:30 p.m. at Bob McFadden Plaza in Carson City for the seven high school students who were injured in a vehicle crash that happened Thursday night on Kings Canyon Road.
Carson High School teacher Angila Golik is coordinating the event in an effort to gather and "pray for those students injured in a car accident on Thursday night."
The BoB McFadden Plaza is located at, 223 W 3rd Street in Carson City. The event runs to 8:30 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring candles.
The single vehicle SUV accident happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday on Kings Canyon Road. Five of the teens were not wearing seat belts, two were ejected. Two are suffering life threatening injuries, and 3 are in critical condition, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. The accident is under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been established for the seven teens. The page creator is listed as Jasmyn Riediger, a Carson High School student and friend of the victims. As of Saturday at 8:34 p.m. $33,730 of the $35k goal has been pledged. See the GoFundMe page here.
Law enforcement has not released the names of the victims or their medical conditions. The creator of the GoFundMe page said the money will be used for medical expenses.
