Carson City's BAC features screenwriting intro workshop with Hollywood screenwriter
The Brewery Arts Center is proud to present a new workshop with Hollywood screenwriter Sean Mick. This workshop will cover all aspects of the screenwriter’s craft, including structure, character, dialogue, format, sales and marketing.
Beginners will learn the tools needed to write their first screenplay; more experienced writers will increase their skills and gain new insights into the writing process.
The workshop is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There's a half hour lunch and two breaks. Fee: $145 or $135 for BAC members.
Note: it is recommended you watch “Star Wars Ep. IV: A New Hope” (1977) before the seminar. Other useful films are: “The Karate Kid” (1984 version), and “Casablanca.”
Sean Mick studied filmmaking, theory and history at Sonoma State University in California, then continued his education through seminars with the top screenwriting “gurus” in Hollywood. His first feature, the action/thriller “Silencer” was released in September 2018 by Status Media & Entertainment.
All levels are welcome. To register contact the BAC at (775)883-1976 or online at breweryarts.org here or visit the Expresso Yourself Café at 449 West King Street, Carson City.
