Carson City weather: Weak storm may bring slight chance of rain, mountain snow tonight
A weak storm will push through the region Monday night into Tuesday, bringing a slight chance of rain to the valleys and light snow possible from 5,500 feet to 6,000 feet and above, according to the National Weather Service.
For the central Sierra, there’s a chance for up to an inch of snow above 7,000 feet. Light rain is possible, mostly north of Interstate 80 with less than a tenth of an inch possible. For trick-or-treaters, it may be a good idea for parents to pack along rain jackets just in case.
Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas can expect mostly partly skies Monday, with a high of 54, with a 30 percent chance of rain tonight and a slight chance of showers Tuesday morning. Wednesday through Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60s.
Daytime temperatures will slowly warm through the week with strong overnight inversions setting up during the week creating the possibility of fog in western Nevada. Another storm may impact the region next weekend.
