NEW WASHOE CITY — November events at Washoe Lake State Park include a presentation about the wildlife of Washoe Lake State Park and a full moon hike. Reservations are required only for the full moon hike.

Discover some of the wild animals that call Washoe Lake home during this slideshow presentation. Hot cocoa and light refreshments will be available.
WHEN: Saturday, November 10, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
WHERE: Meet at the Washoe Lake State Park Headquarters. Take Exit 44 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. approximately four miles. Pass the park entrance, and the park office is on your right at 4855 Eastlake Blvd.
COST: There is no charge for this program.

Full Moon Hike: Join park staff for a guided full moon hike along the South Loop Equestrian Trail. This is an easy three mile round trip hike. Participants should bring an extra layer, water, and a flashlight. Advance reservations are required for this hike. Reservations can be made by calling (775) 687-4319 or e-mailing wlsp@parks.nv.gov.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 21, 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Meet At the Equestrian Pavilion. Take Exit 44 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. approximately four miles. The park entrance is on your left. After paying the entrance fee at the self-pay station, turn right, pass the campground, and follow the short gravel road to the pavilion.
COST: The park entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. We are able to accept cash and checks. There is no additional charge for this program.
