Carson City TRIAD to prepare residents Thursday for Medicare open enrollment
Carson City TRIAD presents Medicare 101 in conjunction with Access to Healthcare, on Thursday, Oct. 10, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
The presentation will give detailed information on the four parts of Medicare, the two choices for coverage and the costs associated with each option. Attendees will also learn about open enrollment periods, what choices can be made during those periods, and the different opportunities for covering costs.
“Enrolling in Medicare can be a confusing process for many,” said Courtney Warner, executive director for the Carson City Senior Center. “The goal of this presentation is to demystify that process and help people get the coverage they need.”
Attendees should prepare questions or concerns about Medicare and open enrollment as they will have the opportunity to submit them at the beginning of the presentation.
