Carson City deputies make DUI and drug related arrests
A 32-year-old man was arrested Sunday in the 2500 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of a second DUI, a misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, a Carson City sheriff's deputy report said.
According to the arrest report, the man allegedly hit a curb, causing a loud crash, heard from witnesses. Deputies located the vehicle, and the driver. He agreed to participate in standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test with a .258 result.
When he was read a request for voluntary evidence, he refused the request. A search warrant was applied for and granted by a Carson City judge for a blood draw. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI, a second. According to the man's criminal history, he had a previous DUI in October 2012.
In other arrests:
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday in the 5500 block of Morgan Mill Road for outstanding warrants and drug charges.
Robert David Wroth was taken into custody at 11:34 p.m. for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and a felony warrant out of Storey County, three misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charges, a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant out of Carson City and misdemeanor warrant out of Storey County.
According to the booking report deputies were patrolling the area and were investigating why vehicles were parked at the location with the Morgan Mill river access area being closed.
Wroth identified himself. Dispatch advised he had two warrants, one out of Carson City and the other Virginia City.
Deputies observed a clear glass pipe on top of a sleeping bag in the vehicle. The pipe had been smoked and there was a white powdery substance still inside. The deputy observed it to be a methamphetamine pipe. He was taken into custody and asked if there were any more drugs or paraphernalia. The man did not reply, the arrest report states. Deputies located a total of four meth pipes, the report states. He was arrested and taken into custody on the drug and warrant charges. Bail: $12,411.
— A Reno woman, Angola Marie Rosa, was booked Saturday into Carson City Jail for a felony warrant alleging possession of a controlled substance and parole and probation violation. The warrant was issued Oct. 26, 2017 out of Carson City District Court. The woman turned herself in on the warrants.
