Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Man booked on battery of ex-fiance

A 32 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday night at 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Lake Glen Drive for misdemeanor first offense domestic battery of his ex-fiance, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.

The victim made the report Friday night at the Carson City Sheriff's Office, according to the arrest report, stating she had been visiting the suspect at his residence earlier in the day where he began drinking heavily and became verbally aggressive toward her.

The suspect became angry at some point and poured a bottle of hard lemonade over the victim's head because she was pretending to sleep through the argument, the report said.

The victim locked herself in a bathroom to clean up, but the suspect used a key to open the door and follow her inside, the report said.

Despite the victim repeatedly yelling at the suspect to leave, he proceeded to push her down in the shower and then held her down so that she could not get back up, the report said.

The victim broke free eventually, grabbing items off the bathroom counter and throwing them at the suspect to keep him away from her, the report said.

But the suspect responded by head-butting the victim in the face twice, the report said, followed by punching her on the side of her face before throwing her to the ground.

The suspect fled the residence as the victim was dialing 9-1-1, the report said.

On observation, the victim suffered a swollen, bruised and cut front lip, a goose-egg shaped knot on her right forehead, swelling to her right cheek bone, as well as bruising to her left ear, left shoulder blade, left elbow and right biceps, the report said.

The victim was also observed to limp and wince when she walked.

Law enforcement made subsequent contact with the suspect at his residence. Although he confirmed being in a physical altercation with the victim, he claimed she had attacked him unprovoked, the report said.

The suspect denied battering the victim, but admitted to pouring hard lemonade over her head. He then became quiet and requested to speak with an attorney, invoking his right to remain silent.

The suspect was handcuffed at that point and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $3,000.
