Lyon County Board of Commissioners Thursday actions
The Lyon County Board of County Commissioners held its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday in Yerington. The board took the following actions:
— Approved an ordinance adopting the Pony Express Commercial Center Development Agreement to extend the tentative subdivision map and date by which the next final map must be recorded.
— Approved an ordinance authorizing the issuance of Lyon County General Obligation (Limited Tax) Sewer Bonds for the Dayton Septic Tank Conversion Project.
— Approved 13 business license applications and 2 liquor license applications
— Made the following appointments to the following boards, commissions or committees: Appointed Stephen Ackley to the Lyon County Fair Board and accepted the resignation of Jim Ward from the Mason Valley Advisory Board.
— Approved the following contracts and/or bids: NRC Roofing for $59,200.00 to reroof the Lyon County Administrative Complex; Koch Elevator Co. for required service on the elevators at the Lyon County Justice Complex at a rate of $1,272.00/month
— Approved a lease agreement with the Silver City Preservation Society, a Nevada Non-Profit, for the operation of the Silver City Community Center.
— Declared miscellaneous computer equipment (ewaste) surplus and authorized the donation of said equipment to Computer Corps to be recycled and authorize staff to dispose or recycle future ewaste through Computer Corp.
— Approved a short term contract between Lyon County Human Services and MAC Consulting.
— Approved the Western Nevada Regional Youth Center (WNRYC) amended Inter-local Agreement, governing organization and operation of WNRYC.
Accepted the following grants:
— Award (NGA) from Aging and Disability Services Division for Congregate Meals in the amount $80,301.00
— Award from Aging and Disability Services Division for Home Delivered Meals in the amount of $87,712.00
— Award from Aging and Disability Services Division for Nutrition Equipment in the amount of $45,791.00
— Approved a 0 percent interest loan and forgiven principal of $500,000.00 from the State of Nevada for use in the Dayton Septic Tank Conversion project.
— Approved a Special Use Permit for the Columbia Mine Project/Kona Gold, LLC/MH Equipment Corp- Request a mill site on approximately 1.33 acres located at 62 Laxalt Drive, Moundhouse, NV and a mining operation with watchman’s quarters, on two parcels totaling approximately 21.55 acres based upon the findings and subject to the 27 conditions recommended by staff, plus an additional condition recommended by the Planning Commission regarding a reclamation.
The Board continued public hearings on the draft Title 15 Land Use and Development Code (LUDC).
