A Change in the Weather
After a pleasant week of unseasonably warm temperatures, it looks like autumn is on its way to the Carson City region and the Sierra.
From the National Weather Service on Friday afternoon:
A strong area of low pressure will drop into the region Sunday.... bringing gusty winds...much colder temperatures...and periods of rain with snow above 7000 feet. The bands of precipitation wrapping around the low will bring showers to much of the area Monday through Wednesday...with the best chances along the southern and eastern portions of the area. It is still too early to pinpoint exact amounts of liquid...but the hardest hit areas could see a half an inch upwards to an inch of precipitation.
