Central Lyon paramedics, Care Flight called to multi-vehicle crash in Silver Springs

Central Lyon County fire and paramedics and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded Wednesday afternoon to a crash involving multiple vehicles in the area of US95-A and Ninth Street in Silver Springs.
According to dispatch, the crash was reported after 2 p.m. and involves 4 to 5 vehicles, including a big rig and 8 patients. Two Care Flight air ambulances have been ordered to the scene and were to land at the crash site.
The highway has been closed in both northbound and southbound lanes of US95A, according to NHP. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes and stay clear of the area to allow for emergency vehicles. Outside agencies have been called to the scene.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the injuries appear to be non life-threatening.
