Annual Carson City Community Garage Sale returns this Saturday to benefit Meals on Wheels

The fourth annual Carson City Community Garage Sale returns this Saturday, Sept. 18, with organizers promising plenty of merchandise, buyer choices and an ideal place to be for those locals looking for treasures, keepsakes, appliances, clothing, equipment and more.
The event will be at a new location, the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Here's the what you need to know:
FOR GARAGE SALERS AND VENDORS
You can purchase a spot in our west parking lot or indoors in the Center's dining room to sell your treasures. All you have to do is CLICK HERE to reserve and pay for your spot.
Regular parking spots are $10. These spots are 9'x18' or 8'x22'. No easy-ups allowed. Recommended to purchase two spots for $20 to use an easy-up. All easy-ups are required to be weighted down in case of a wind event.
Larger spots are $25. These are 12'x20' and can accomodate a 10x10 easy-up. They are positioned at the end of the aisles for better traffic.
Indoor vendor spots in the dining room (4' round table and chairs) are $10.
Check-in and setup for both outdoor and indoor spots is from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. The check-in table will be at the north end of the west parking lot.
All cars must exit the parking lot by 8:30 AM. There will be no parking allowed during the Garage Sale. No cars allowed into the parking lot after the event starts until 1 PM.
Indoor vendors may use the east parking lot for unloading and parking.
Reservations will be closed on Thursday, September 16th at 5 PM or sooner if we sell out the event. Cancellations will be allowed up to 5 PM on Thursday, September 16th.
Full refunds will be given if there is an extreme weather event at the discretion of the Senior Center staff. No postponements will be made under any circumstances. Signature of a general waiver will be required before entering the sale area.
Unsold items may be donated to the Thrift Store based on the acceptance guidelines of the Thrift Store management. Some items cannot be accepted such as but not limited to appliances, tube TV's, entertainment centers, matteresses, uncleanable/unrepairable furniture, etc.
FOR SHOPPERS
In addition to the outside shopping in the parking lot:
— The Second Wind Thrift Store is open with 50% off (just like every Saturday)
— The first 100 patrons get an additional $5 off of their purchase over $25.
— There will be a special sidewalk sale with selected items from the Thrift Store.
Inside the Senior Center in the dining room and lobby will be:
— Indoor sales spots vendors selling items like essential oils, clothing, candles, home goods, makeup, prepackaged foods, etc.
— Refreshments for sale by our Sunday Bingo volunteers including hot dogs and hamburgers for sale.
—The Hidden Treasures Gift Shop's Holiday Bazaar — get a head start on your Halloween and Christmas lists.
— Last day of the Jewelry Sale in our lobby - the best day as this is the day for the best deals!
— And the biggest 50/50 raffle this side of the Capitol
All parking will be either in the street or in the Health & Human Services parking lot to the south of the Senior Center.
