Prison inmate who walked away from Carson City work crew Tuesday captured in Reno
A Nevada Department of Corrections inmate who walked away from work detail Tuesday near the Carson City office of the Department of Motor Vehicles was taken into custody Thursday night, officials said.
Michael Ariola, 35, was taken into custody at 8 p.m. without incident at a motel located in Reno. Inmate Ariola has been returned to Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
He originally arrived at NDOC from Pershing County, August 11, 2017. Ariola is serving 16 to 72 months for Possession of Stolen Property. Before he was caught Thursday, he was last seen Tuesday morning while working on a landscaping crew near the downtown DMV location in Carson City.
He was housed at the Stewart Conservation Camp located in South Carson City.
