Carson City’s The Poke Beach reopens with all new menus including mini sliders, loaded fries and more
In March, Carson City’s Poke Beach, located at 1442 E. William St., closed for renovations but has now reopened with an all new, expanded menu including hot options such as mini sliders, pulled pork, loaded fries, chicken tenders.
Fear not, poke lovers, because poke remains with a few additional options such as cream cheese, lemon slices, yellow fin tuna, and more.
According to Manager Destiny Hernandez, they wanted to add mini sliders to the menu because it isn’t something seen in the community.
“It’s new to the public, and so far, we’ve received nothing but positive feedback,” Hernandez said. “People love the size, the seasoning, how it’s cooked. We’re really happy with the feedback we’ve received so far.”
The restaurant now boasts a new drink menu as well, offering Hawaiian sun canned drinks as well as the popular Japanese soda Ramune.
“We were seeing that when families came in, only some of them would get poke but others didn’t like fish,” Manager Ashley Johnson said. “We wanted to make sure everyone could find something they loved on the menu.”
With the reopening, Poke Beach is also looking to hire more service staff, who will work the front of the restaurant helping customers and making poke bowls.
The positions are part-time and begin at $12 an hour.
“We’re a family owned business that really cares about the community,” Hernandez said. “We care about the quality, and our presentation. We want to make sure that, if you’re having a rough day, you can come to the Beach and we’ll perk you up and make you smile.”
Currently, orders are only accepted in store, but online ordering will be back up running soon, along with a newly designed website.
Hernandez urged customers to keep track of them and watch for updates via social media.
