Carson City deputies make four arrests Thursday including domestic batteries, warrants
A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 3300 block of S. Carson Street Thursday afternoon for domestic battery.
According to the police report, deputies responded to the residence on a report of domestic abuse. While en route, deputies had responded the night prior for similar circumstances but the male half had left the scene.
Deputies met with a woman who advised that she and her boyfriend had been arguing for the last couple of days. While she was at work, the boyfriend changed the locks on their appointment. When she arrived home, she knocked on the door and the boyfriend answered. She told him she wanted to get a few things and he went back into the bedroom.
According to the woman, a few minutes later the boyfriend came back into the living room and was verbally confrontational. She said she was frightened so she went to grab her phone out of her pocket. At that point, the boyfriend became aggressive and threw her onto the bed. He was on top of her, holding her down by the wrists and forced the phone out of her hand.
She told deputies at that point she was able to break free and exited the apartment and contacted 911. Deputies noted the woman had tattoos on both arms and they were unable to see any marks because of it.
Deputies spoke with the boyfriend, who appeared highly intoxicated, according to the report. He said he was sleeping when the woman startled him awake and he grabbed her. He said when he realized what happened, he let her go.
He told deputies that he “did it” and that he was “ready to go to jail.” He was unable to provide any additional details.
The man was taken into custody for domestic battery.
