Nevada Highway Patrol reports fatal crash on Highway 50 near Dayton

A Carson City man was arrested in the 3100 block of Debbie Way Thursday morning for a DUI causing death warrant and failure to exercise due care warrant.

Mark Riesen was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the residence to complete a warrant service.

Both warrants were issued out of Carson City Justice Court on May 1, 2019.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Bail: $30,000

— A 40-year-old Silver Springs woman was booked on two additional warrants while in custody at the Carson City Jail.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office reports Thursday night that a brush fire has forced the closure of Foothill Road and Muller Lane. East Fork Fire is on scene, according to the agency's twitter account. The tweet, sent at 7:04 p.m., asks for people to stay clear of the area. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking the public’s assistance in locating a runaway juvenile female. Goldie Consalvi, age 17, was last seen on May 1, 2019 in Carson City. Information received is that Goldie may be in Carson City or the Reno, Sparks area.

CARSON CITY — One Army Reservist was killed and four Nevada Army National Guardsmen were injured in a military vehicle rollover accident during training early Wednesday morning at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, Louisiana, according to a Nevada State Public Affairs Officer for the Nevada National Guard.

Carson City Girl Scout Troop 105 is collecting new, used, unwearable, and out grown shoes. Shoes can be dropped of at Bordewich, Seeliger, Fremont, and Empire Elementary Schools until May 31.
